About Me
It probably all started somewhere c. 1991, at the age of 3, and getting lost in a department store in Washington D.C. Whilst I wasn’t remotely concerned, the tannoy announcement dictated otherwise. I was found trying on ladies shoes, a floor above where I had been a few moments previously.
Fast forward 15 years, I was off to left Leeds Art College to do an Art Foundation course, before going to the University of Manchester to study my degree in Fashion and Textile Retailing, which opened my eyes to the world of Fashion in every aspect possible. Although more often than not, I was more interested in the ‘New In’ page on Net-A-Porter, or style section of Vogue.comthan a 3000 word essay. At this stage, however, I had one dream in mind – to be a shoe buyer for a well known brand, never thinking it would be possible.
After graduating, I moved to Paris and since have been fortunate enough to work for Anya Hindmarch, Kurt Geiger, Paper London and currently Christian Louboutin, whilst occasionally indulging my passion in styling friends!
My varied background has plays a huge part of my style today. I definitely don’t always get it right, however I’m happy to do the testing! It’s not about having surplus amounts of income, but being savvy and learning your style.
