Words of Wisdom
– Only ever buy something if you love it. If you don’t love it in the changing room, the chances are you’ll never wear it when it’s home.
– Be open minded, what you think might not suit you, might look amazing.
– Don’t be a snob about where something’s from. One of my favourite dresses I bought 4 years ago from New Look for £7 in the sale, and still wear it now.
– Just because it’s a certain brand, or cost a certain amount, doesn’t mean it’s nice! Stick to your gut and if it’s something you’re really going to love wearing.
– Invest in classics and never spend hundreds of pounds on a high fashion item, no matter how much you love it. The likelihood of you loving it in years to come will be minimal.
– If in doubt, don’t. But if you’re still thinking about it 24 hours later, then go back and get it.
– If you’re an eBayer, it is amazing, although always give yourself a limit of what to bid up to, and then stop. In the heat of a bidding war I sometimes get far too competitive, and usually regret it. If the thought of it terrifies you, know what you’re looking for, and how a particular brand fits you, to ensure you aren’t disappointed when it arrives.
